About the position

The Experiential Fleet Operations role at AVI-SPL focuses on maintaining fleet effectiveness through proactive projects, issue resolution, and system administration. The position specializes in customer proprietary solutions, network infrastructure, and high-performance media, ensuring the stability and performance of the fleet while providing consultancy services such as training and system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleet effectiveness through proactive projects and issue resolution.
• Coordinate OS updates, internal software, code builds, and new configurations.
• Design and support appropriate solutions based on existing environments.
• Create detailed design documentation and evaluate new technologies.
• Complete planned maintenance and resolve escalated issues within SLA.
• Conduct root cause analyses and recommend hardware/software replacements.
• Support event setups and experiential site operations as needed.
• Create and update documentation on training, runbooks, and best practices.
• Participate in key projects to provide recommendations for system migrations.
• Assist the Experiential Fleet Incident Team with configuration changes and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• High proficiency with Linux (Bash/Python scripting), Windows (PowerShell scripting), and Mac OS (AppleScript).
• Familiarity with online video production technologies (e.g., Cobalt encoders, Ross video switchers).
• Experience with web apps/web development (e.g., JavaScript) and Gerrit code review.
• Strong documentation skills and adaptability to learn and teach innovative technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in networking or computer science.
• Certifications: CTP, CCNA, or CNCT.
