About the position

The Immersive Art Director for Nike's Global Brand Experience + Innovation Studio is a visionary role focused on creating immersive storytelling and engagement through innovative art direction. This position requires a multi-disciplinary creative who can lead projects across physical and virtual experiences, collaborating with various teams to push the boundaries of consumer engagement and brand innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of immersive art direction for a wide range of experiences, including physical spaces, virtual worlds, and gaming environments.
• Ideate, design, and execute cutting-edge concepts that engage consumers in unique and memorable ways.
• Develop creative briefs, mood boards, and prototypes that bring ideas to life across various mediums.
• Work closely with product, brand marketing, and creative teams to create a seamless brand experience across physical, virtual, and gaming platforms.
• Partner with designers, artists, developers, and external agencies to bring immersive experiences to fruition.
• Provide clear direction and feedback to ensure that all creative executions meet the highest standards of quality.
• Oversee the end-to-end creative process, from initial concept through to final execution.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in art, design, technology, and gaming.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in art direction, with a strong portfolio showcasing work across physical, virtual, interactive, and gaming platforms.
• Experience in leading immersive projects is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and 3D software.
• Experience and working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Unity, and other relevant technologies is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable experience in the process & design of interactive experiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Motion and 3D skills are a strong plus.
• Experience in full-cycle Game development is a plus.
• Knowledge of flow, pace, engagement, structure, environment, & storytelling.
