About the position

The Expert Business Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the operational needs of the PG&E Academy. This position focuses on identifying and implementing process improvements, managing communications, coordinating training, and developing resources and tools to enhance business procedures. The role requires a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communications within the department and across functions.
  • Develop internal work procedures and initiate process improvements.
  • Assist management with key department initiatives such as system development and training campaigns.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments and cross-functional teams.
  • Influence decisions by providing recommendations for changes that align with company goals and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and data analysis; compile and prepare reports for upper management.
  • Utilize system and personnel resources to address inquiries from internal business partners.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing information and direction through various delivery channels.
  • Develop and manage training programs to enhance knowledge and job skills.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive initiatives.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to manage department functions and address complex issues.
  • Review and provide feedback on project deliverables, ensuring quality control.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Managers to implement organization-wide initiatives.
  • Manage budget expenditures as required.
  • Provide direction and coaching to team members, potentially serving as a team lead.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of job-related experience.
  • Valid California driver's license.
