About the position

The Expert Product Graphic Designer at NIKE, Inc. is a pivotal role that combines creativity and collaborative problem-solving to shape the future of the brand. This position serves as a bridge between the brand's identity and external collaborators, ensuring alignment with the company's vision while challenging conventional design methods. The designer will work closely with various teams to translate product visions into reality across footwear and apparel, managing timelines and navigating from concept to execution.

Responsibilities

• Translate product vision into reality across footwear and apparel.
• Manage timelines and collaborate with external partners.
• Navigate from concept to execution for each collection.
• Provide prototype sampling and tech pack information, including fabrication, trim, color, graphic applications, style, detail, fit requirements, and construction details.
• Scrutinize and iterate prototypes to ensure the best expression of design intent.
• Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to bring the collection's creative direction to life.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• 8+ years' experience in graphic design, preferably in product creation for footwear and apparel.
• Master visual and verbal communication skills to present design intent effectively.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
• Proficient in Adobe CC (Illustrator & Photoshop) and comfortable working in new digital spaces.
• Knowledge of repeat pattern creation and printing techniques specific to textiles.
• Ability to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
• Strong understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.

• 3D design program experience and ability to concept/design in 3D spaces.
