Peraton is seeking an Expert Level Data Architect to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This role is pivotal in providing strategic oversight and planning for database structural design and development. As a technical resource, the Data Architect will guide senior-level database administrators and application developers in creating new databases and maintaining existing ones that support evolving applications. The position requires a deep understanding of data architecture principles and the ability to consult across all levels of the organization on the design, development, and implementation of logical database structures and classification schemas. The Data Architect will be responsible for developing policies and procedures that facilitate the building, maintenance, and leveraging of data models. This includes providing technical guidance on the development of metadata tags, Document Type Definitions (DTD), and schemas that accurately represent data and its relationships. Ensuring that metadata and data standards align with business and mission processes, as well as National Security Group (NSG) and Army Security Group (ASG) requirements for data sharing, is a critical aspect of this role. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Data Architect will play a key role in mentoring data stewards and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that data models effectively support organizational business and mission systems. This position is essential for driving the success of our national security initiatives and requires a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong leadership and communication skills.
