About the position

The role involves providing consulting services to clients in navigating the complexities of modern AI, data science, and analytics. The consultant will leverage Gartner's extensive resources to help C-suite executives make informed decisions that align technology with strategic business outcomes. This position is part of a rapidly growing area within Gartner's Consulting business, focusing on delivering value through IT strategy, analytics, and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and manage engagements, leading multi-domain teams across geographies to exceed client expectations.
  • Work with clients on their critical Data and Analytics priorities.
  • Align data, analytics & AI initiatives to strategic business outcomes and priority use cases.
  • Design effective, sustainable data, analytics, and AI programs with appropriate governance and technology architectures.
  • Increase decision-making capacity with Data Literacy and Decision Intelligence for clients.
  • Provide deep technical and solution architecture experience to address business problems with AI, ML, and GAI technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish AI programs and processes for scaling delivery of AI solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Stay updated with advancements in data science and machine learning to improve processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant project experience in launching and executing data science projects, preferably in consulting.
  • Basic coding knowledge in languages such as R, Python, SAS, Java, Scala, C++, Excel, MATLAB.
  • Experience with database programming languages including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with data discovery/analysis platforms like RStudio, Spark, KNIME, Alteryx, Dataiku, and others.
  • Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques such as regression, random forest, deep learning, and others.
  • Experience with data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI, ML, and GAI technologies.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and ModelOps processes.
  • Experience in a consulting environment with a focus on data and analytics.
