About the position

The Expert Process Engineer at Nestlé will provide technical expertise in process engineering to enhance operational performance and business objectives. This role involves teaching, coaching, and supporting continuous improvement systems, developing manufacturing processes, and conducting validation evaluations. The position requires collaboration with various teams to optimize processes and implement improvements across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Build Product & Process Mastership in Factory and Technical Application Group (TAG) teams
• Teach, coach and assess factory experts to enhance processing capabilities
• Provide guidance and mentoring to TAG team members for new product development
• Partner with R&D & vendors to develop training content for key processes
• Optimize & improve existing processes across manufacturing landscape
• Identify, organize, and conduct relevant process capability testing
• Develop or refine processing equipment standards and routines
• Ideate, assess and implement process-related continuous improvement opportunities
• Apply deep technical expertise to projects and challenges
• Partner with Engineering and R&D on new process development and installation
• Conduct pilot scale experiments and first saleable production runs
• Collaborate with Corporate Engineering and R&D to establish project priorities and requirements
• Verify new production lines meet divisional standards during design/build phase
• Organize site acceptance testing of key equipment
• Lead or support commissioning, qualification and validation of new processing equipment.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. Degree in Engineering or Operations related subject
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Improvement implementation
• Minimum 8 years of engineering or processing experience in food and beverage operations
• Factory experience to work credibly with Factory Managers
• Deep understanding of factory operations, equipment, automation, and quality control processes
• Hands-on implementation experience with continuous improvement methodologies
