About the position
ManTech is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Expert Software Developer to join our team in Hanover, MD. This role involves designing and developing new hardware or software-based CNO capabilities, managing the software development lifecycle, and applying expert knowledge of security concepts and networks. The position requires effective communication with leadership and customers to ensure software standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new hardware or software based CNO capabilities.
- Manage the designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging of applications software and systems.
- Apply expert knowledge of security concepts and networks.
- Communicate status with leadership and customers.
- Ensure software standards are met.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming.
- Troubleshooting / debugging experience.
- Proficiency with networking (TCP/IP) and socket level programming.
- Experience managing/leading teams.
Nice-to-haves
- BS Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical degree is preferred but not required.
- CNO capability development experience.
- Software Analysis/Reverse Engineering experience.
- Proficiency in low-level internals in one or more technology areas (e.g. Windows, Unix, Mobile, Network devices).
- Understand assembly programming concepts.
- Unit Test experience.
- Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
- Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure.
- Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills.
