About the position

The Expert Systems Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the National Security mission by providing systems engineering and integration support for the NGA's Sensor Integration Office. This position requires extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly in the context of large complex systems and service-oriented architectures. The role is based in either Springfield or Chantilly, VA, and involves working within a dynamic team to integrate new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integration Office.
• Support the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission objectives.
• Develop and implement systems engineering processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 18+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition Process and systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture environments.
