About the position

The Expert Systems Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the National Security mission by providing systems engineering and integration support for the NGA's Sensor Integration Office. This position requires extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly in complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments. The role is based in either Springfield or Chantilly, VA, and involves working within a dynamic Enterprise Engineering team to integrate new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integration Office.
• Support the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.
• Deliver strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure mission success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields, or equivalent experience (4 years without a degree, 2 years with a non-STEM degree).
• 18+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, or systems engineering of large complex systems.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.
