The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking an Expert-level (18+ years) Systems Engineer to work within our dynamic Sensor Integration team in either Springfield or Chantilly VA. The Sensor Integration team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integrations (TIS) Office. This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture. The role requires a deep understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and the ability to navigate complex environments, including cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that new sensor capabilities are effectively integrated into existing systems, enhancing the overall mission capability of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integrations (TIS) Office.
  • Deliver trusted engineering capabilities to national security missions.
  • Support the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.
  • Engage in strategic and solutions-level systems engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure mission success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 18+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
