About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a background in explosives safety to support the Navy Program Manager responsible for the Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases in Kings Bay, Georgia, and Bangor, Washington. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing facility site selection investigations, maintaining master site plan documents, preparing Site Approval Requests, and performing engineering analyses of explosive safety conditions at ordnance handling facilities. This position will be located in Washington, DC, and it is important to note that there is no relocation assistance available. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at their own expense. To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree and at least 8 years of related/relevant work experience, which should include significant applicable Military Construction experience. The role requires experience with Master Planning, Explosive Safety Requirements, and NAVSEA OP5 requirements for ordnance facilities or similar ordnance regulations. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential for success in this position. Preferred qualifications include experience with NAVSEA OP 5 ordnance regulations, processing explosives safety site approval requests, and special lightning protection criteria. This position offers a competitive salary range of $112,420 - $191,070, which is based on market pay structures and determined by various factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
