About the position
The Expo/Food Runner position is essential for ensuring efficient food delivery and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role involves collaborating with kitchen and service staff to deliver food orders accurately and promptly, while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth food delivery
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or concerns
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food presentation
