About the position

The Export Compliance Manager at Sensata Technologies is responsible for overseeing the implementation and adherence to export compliance policies and procedures. This role ensures that daily operations align with regulatory and policy requirements, while leading a team of two experienced professionals. The position reports to the Sr Dir Compliance and Trade Counsel and plays a critical role in maintaining compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the work of direct reports, ensuring effective performance.
• Lead compliance audits, assessments, and monitoring activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance tasks.
• Implement and enforce compliance policies and procedures organization-wide.
• Provide guidance and support on compliance-related issues to employees.
• Ensure all departments understand and follow compliance protocols.
• Develop compliance training programs for employees.
• Conduct regular training sessions and refreshers on compliance matters.

Requirements

• A university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent relevant work experience).
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
• Accountability for achieving goals and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
• High personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree and/or legal training.
• Minimum 10 years of export compliance experience.
• Detailed knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations.
• Managerial experience.
