About the position

The Export/Import Administrator plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and coordination between various departments, including sales, manufacturing, and logistics. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations related to export and import services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. The role requires a blend of administrative and technical skills to support the efficient movement of goods both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Export/Import shipments with freight forwarders and prepare all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with Export/Import controls as per Department of Commerce and Bureau of Industry and Security Administration EAR Regulations.
  • Prepare and support documentation for Hazmat, IATA, and IMDG Regulations for dangerous goods and materials.
  • Maintain follow-up on Export/Import documentation for subcontract materials, parts, and equipment to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support sales and marketing coordinators by providing necessary in-house support to sales agents and distributors worldwide.
  • Handle customer service functions to present the company positively, ensuring timely call-backs and expediting customer requests.
  • Work closely with manufacturing facilities to coordinate shipping, documentation, and assess charges for shipments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related fields or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of three years experience in an industrial environment.
  • Three to five years working experience in International Logistics.
  • Experience in direct or telephone/email contact with customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Knowledge of the mining industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
