Express Service Advisor

About the position

Athens Ford is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing Service Department. This role is essential for assisting customers with their automotive service needs, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with repair and scheduled maintenance service requests.
• Ensure the vehicle is fixed right the first time by accurately documenting all customer concerns on the repair order.
• Consult customers on needed scheduled maintenance repairs and review root cause/corrective repair action with the customer.
• Communicate with customers throughout the repair process.
• Inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility.
• Assist the Service Manager by distributing work to technicians and maintaining repair records.
• Support promotional activities and monitor labor inventory.
• Comply with safety and environmental programs and practices.
• Treat customers with respect and courtesy to foster long-term relationships.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to learn quickly and work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of Ford automotive service writing process preferred.
• At least 2 years of express service experience.
• Valid driver's license and driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
