About the position
The Extended Day Teacher at Acelero Learning plays a crucial role in supporting early childhood education programs, specifically within Head Start and Early Head Start centers. This part-time position focuses on enhancing the educational experiences of children by collaborating with other teachers and engaging families to foster a positive learning environment. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children.
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.
- Support the social and emotional development of children.
- Encourage the involvement of families in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Record keeping and reporting on children's progress and activities.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and self-assessment of classroom activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy in email usage, word processing, and internet navigation.
- Ability to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.
- Pass physical examination and all Head Start/licensing required background checks.
