The Extra Help Assistant/ JSC Event Staff position at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a part-time, temporary role focused on supporting the management of game day and athletics facilities operations. The staff will work closely with the Director of Facilities and Game Operations and the Assistant Director of Facilities and Game Operations, assisting in various tasks related to event management and facility upkeep. The role requires a commitment to exceptional customer service, as staff will interact with faculty, staff, guests, and families attending events. Responsibilities include monitoring access to the facilities, verifying tickets, greeting attendees, and assisting with the maintenance and appearance of the Jack Stephens Center (JSC) facilities. Staff will also be involved in setting up and tearing down events, managing concessions and suites, and supporting special events scheduled in the athletics facilities. This position is governed by state and federal laws, as well as institutional policies, ensuring compliance and professionalism in all operations. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have experience working in athletic events. The role requires the ability to work nights and weekends, as events often occur during these times. Staff must also be able to lift and move athletic equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, demonstrating physical capability alongside effective communication skills. The position is designed for individuals who are proactive, able to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
