About the position
This part-time position at the Columbus-Powell store involves delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers in their shopping experience, and ensuring a friendly and efficient checkout process. The role includes responsibilities related to merchandise handling, store maintenance, and compliance with company policies, all while promoting a positive shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping the store.
- Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
- Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
- Maintain store recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises.
- Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
- Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
- Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
- Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
- Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
- Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery.
- Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
- Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting commitment to the organization's vision and values.
- Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
