The Extraction Technician plays a crucial role in the lab by supporting the processing and extraction of medical marijuana. This position requires strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that comply with state regulations. Responsibilities include the manufacturing, storing, and maintenance of equipment and materials essential for operating a world-class extraction lab. The technician will be involved in the purification, separation, and isolation of various cannabis compounds, while also maintaining inventory, recordkeeping, and ensuring product quality throughout the extraction process. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity and quality of the products produced in the lab, ensuring that all processes meet the established standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately weigh and mix ingredients needed to produce troches.
  • Timing of cooking troche batches to ensure the product meets standards of production.
  • Carefully remove finished troches from molds, ensuring their quality and integrity.
  • Prepare and adjust troche depositors for production runs, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
  • Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment, adhering to strict sanitation protocols.
  • Accurately measure and record troche weights as part of quality control procedures.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously and uphold the lab's quality standards in all tasks.
  • Assist in overseeing the extraction process and ensure the lab abides by all protocols and regulations.
  • Review lab checklists daily and perform quality assurance tasks.
  • Operate laboratory instruments, make observations, calculate, and record results.
  • Maintain accurate notebooks and logbooks, manage inventory records, and ensure the quality of products throughout the process flow.
  • Work closely with the Troche Lab Manager and support cross-functional team needs to meet production schedules.
  • Work on scaffolding and ladders as well as in tight spaces low and off the floor.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail and personal and professional accountability.
  • Good housekeeping and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of kitchen etiquette, particularly cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical skills is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to meet production schedules.
