About the position

Mars Petcare is seeking an Extruder Operator to join their manufacturing plant in Temple, Texas. The role focuses on operating and maintaining extruding machines and processes to ensure efficient production of pet food, while adhering to global standards and hygiene practices. Responsibilities

• Accountable for day-to-day running of extruder in line with global standards & monitoring regimes.
• Monitor all activities on all production lines, reporting downtime to Supervisor, Maintenance, or Quality Assurance when necessary.
• Facilitate good communication and planning with other leads and operators to ensure timely and effective changeovers and optimized production lines.
• Perform routine operational tasks including starting up, shutting down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers and minor repairs.
• Escalate issues as appropriate and provide full and accurate verbal and written handover.

Requirements

• Educated to GCSE level or above.
• Fluent English verbal and written skills.
• Experience in the FMCG / TMP / Factory Operations industry is desirable.
• Mechanical training or background is a must.
• Fluent in Microsoft computer applications.
• Experience with quality checks and data collection.
