As a Director within EY-Parthenon, you will help make intelligent, informed decisions at the forefront of high-profile transactions. The EY-Parthenon sub-service line comprises three competencies: Strategy; Transaction Strategy and Execution; and Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy. The Transaction Strategy and Execution team has a market-leading proposition to create and maximize value for our clients, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets, or undertaking operational restructuring. In this role, you will work on the most complex and high-profile global transactions across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. You will advise CFOs of Fortune 500 companies as they undertake complex mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. As a team, we develop integration strategies, prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, and advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people. Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute M&A projects focused on the CFO agenda and Finance function.
  • Support client service teams in developing and executing strategies for transactions.
  • Develop experience across a range of engagements, including pre-deal and post-deal activities.
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives and support the team as a great place to work.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior clients, providing influence, advice, and support.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience in the Finance function.
  • Significant management consulting experience.
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, planning, order-to-cash, and purchase-to-pay.
  • Knowledge of financial information systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos, and/or other common systems.
  • Experience in financial process benchmarking, finance organization design, process redesign, shared services, process outsourcing, and/or transition service agreements (TSA).
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

Nice-to-haves

  • A proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
  • Some additional industry experience.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
