About the position
As an Eyewear Consultant for MyEyeDr., you will play a crucial role in providing personalized eyecare and exceptional customer service to patients. This part-time position involves assisting patients with eyewear selection, understanding their needs, and delivering a best-in-class experience. You will receive training to help you succeed in this role, even if you have no prior optical experience. The position requires some weekend and evening shifts, and you will report to the Office General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide patients with exceptional customer service by understanding and advising on their needs.
- Assist patients in the eyewear/frame/lens selection process using knowledge of product lines and options.
- Consistently deliver sales plans and office goals through relationship building and trust with patients.
- Provide comprehensive explanations of insurance benefits to patients.
- Utilize company training to fit, measure, and adjust eyeglasses from a wide selection of stylish eyewear.
- Complete optometric tasks in partnership with the Office Optometrist to serve patients effectively.
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Communicate and demonstrate MyEyeDr. values and brand philosophy while working with patients.
- Participate in other office duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing or sales-related position (Retail, Hospitality, or Optical field preferred, but not required).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
- Ability to sell with a desire to meet office goals and a positive attitude.
- Friendly, caring, and patient-centric demeanor, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player willing to collaborate to provide the best patient experience.
