About the position

The F-16 Aircraft General (APG) Field Service Engineer Senior position at Lockheed Martin involves providing on-site support and training for the Royal Bahraini Air Force. The role focuses on enhancing the technical skills of personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of F-16 aircraft, ensuring they achieve a level of self-sufficiency in handling complex systems and equipment. This position requires a strong background in APG systems and the ability to work collaboratively with military personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site/on-equipment informal unit training on installation, maintenance, and operating techniques for F-16 systems.
  • Advise on the use of special tools, handling equipment, and test equipment related to F-16 aircraft systems.
  • Devise local informal training programs and identify needed training programs.
  • Emphasize safety precautions in all training provided and demonstrate best methods for modifications and retrofit kits.
  • Render technical advice to resolve maintenance problems and analyze maintenance difficulties.
  • Advise on establishing maintenance, inspection, and training programs to improve maintenance quality.
  • Liaise to disseminate information related to maintenance and operational problems to personnel.
  • Train on the use and interpretation of applicable technical orders and assist in accident investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of APG systems/subsystems experience or 6 years of APG systems/subsystems experience without a degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience with F-16 Systems and Subsystems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Nice-to-haves

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to train others, including Foreign Military personnel.
  • Familiarity with F-16 Avionics Modifications and Improvements.
  • Knowledge of General Aircraft Mechanical (APG) System and Weapons System.
  • Familiarity with all Blocks of F-16 (Block 40/42).
  • Experience with Common Configuration Implementation Program (CCIP) modified F-16 aircraft.
  • Previous Falcon 20/20 Customer Service Experience.
  • Experience working with Foreign Government representatives.
  • Experience training others, including Foreign Military personnel.
