About the position

As a Junior Manufacturing Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, you will support all stages of the F-16 program lifecycle, from development to sustainment and modification. Your role will involve collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure efficient aircraft production, while also developing manufacturing plans and concepts. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing plans and concepts.
• Support full-rate production standup and post-delivery sustainment activities.
• Collaborate with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, and other disciplines.
• Implement corrective actions, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relatable experience in absence of a bachelor's Degree.
• Experience interpreting Engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturability.

Nice-to-haves

• STEM Bachelor's Degree
• Previous manufacturing/operations experience (2 to 5 years)
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling
• Demonstrated experience or desire to be in an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in 'hands-on' applications of engineering and manufacturing principles
• Experience working process improvement and corrective action efforts
• Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills.
