About the position

The Boeing Company is seeking an F-22 DevSecOps Software Engineer to join the F-22 Missions Systems group in Berkeley, MO. This role focuses on modernizing the software development environment for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The successful candidate will work on CI/CD pipelines, test automation, containerization, and cloud standup, contributing to significant projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, documentation, and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
• Performs software research and trade studies.
• Troubleshoots software issues.
• Works under general supervision in an Agile development environment.
• Conducts continual research, development, and support of tools, scripts, and code to enhance the software development and build environments.
• Coordinates with security and other development/partnering teams.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
• Experience in Agile development environment.
• Experience with version control tools such as git, Bitbucket, etc.
• 1+ fulltime years of experience in application development.
• 1+ years' experience with at least one high-level language such as Python, Perl, Rust, Java, C#, or C/C++.
• Experience with desktop and server operating systems.
• Development experience on Linux and Windows platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience with containers.
• Experience with software design/architecture.
• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket or other CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Experience in Artifactory.
