About the position

The Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) position at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company involves providing direct support to F-35 squadrons at Luke Air Force Base, AZ. The role requires expertise in Avionics/Mission Systems and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze various aircraft systems. The FSE will act as a technical interface with customers, manage engineering and logistics support activities, and ensure effective communication with military personnel. This position is critical for maintaining operational readiness and addressing maintenance issues for the F-35 aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Support F-35 squadrons at Luke Air Force Base, AZ.
• Act as a technical interface to the on-site customer for maintenance and modification activities.
• Provide direct on-site support as requested by the customer or program management.
• Manage and track multiple engineering and logistics support activities, providing periodic status updates.
• Troubleshoot and analyze Avionics/Mission Systems and other aircraft systems.

Requirements

• 6 years' experience on 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft (F-22 or F-35)
• Experience troubleshooting Avionics/Mission Systems (MS) on any aircraft platform
• Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience
• Final Transferable Secret Security Clearance

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of experience with Avionics/Mission Systems (MS)
• Experience communicating with Military leadership teams and Senior Leaders
• Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
• Technical report writing skills
• Experience with technical drawings/schematics reading and interpretation
• Experience with engineering tools such as FSE Vision/VAST, PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE
• Experience partnering with USAF and Partner AF military operational units
