About the position
The Flightline Expeditor position at Lockheed Martin involves supporting the F-35 maintenance operation at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This role is crucial for facilitating aircraft maintenance efforts, utilizing advanced management tools to track aircraft history and maintenance data, and ensuring efficient scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and operational oversight to maintain aircraft readiness and support the overall mission of the Aeronautics Field Sustainment team.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates aircraft maintenance efforts using Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
- Plans and develops current flight schedules for efficient service and optimal resource use.
- Coordinates with the Maintenance Manager on schedules and aircraft status.
- Provides On-The-Job training to government and partner personnel regarding Aircraft Maintenance.
- Assists the Operations Analyst with monitoring aircraft status and requesting base support.
- Coordinates TCTD execution with Aircraft Maintenance Managers to ensure timely maintenance actions.
- Maintains accurate aircraft status boards and performs other duties as directed by the Manager.
Requirements
- 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience in flight line operations as a USAF 7-skill level or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of F-35 aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience with Aircraft Statusing, Scheduling, Records Management, Maintenance Control, and related programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Maintenance Controller, Aircraft Production Supervisor, or Aircraft Flightline Expediter.
- Knowledge of submitting Action Requests (AR) and ordering parts using ALIS.
- Understanding of USAF AFI 21-101.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid US Passport.
