About the position

The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team is responsible for overseeing aircraft maintenance production, ensuring adherence to schedules and cost management. This role involves providing technical assistance, setting maintenance priorities, and integrating with host squadrons to manage aircraft services and repairs. The position requires travel, with the first assignment at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and may involve working in various locations, including overseas deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise aircraft maintenance production from a schedule and cost perspective.
  • Integrate with the host squadron and advise on schedule requirements and production issues.
  • Manage general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and engines according to engineering and technical data.
  • Oversee the automated system for inducted aircraft, ensuring work-orders are created for part requisition and configuration changes.
  • Supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment.
  • Advise management on work status, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • Enforce good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Work various shifts as required by customer needs.
  • Maintain security clearance and military base access.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • At least 6 years of fighter aircraft maintenance experience with a thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations.
  • Experience with Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information Systems, Tool and FOD, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, or Supply Chain Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • F-35 or Fifth generation aircraft maintenance experience or F-16, F-15, A-10, F-18 experience.
  • Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) experience.
  • Understanding of USAF and/or USN maintenance practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives and Maintenance Managers.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout the maintenance structure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to develop and present formal briefings and presentations.
  • Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures.
  • Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.
