About the position

The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office is seeking a Program Manager to serve as the Enterprise Services Acquisition Director. This role involves leading the acquisition team in developing and managing service contracts that support the F-35 program. The Program Manager will provide strategic direction, manage program objectives, and ensure compliance with Department of Defense requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Services Acquisition Team in developing and managing service contracts for the F-35 Joint Program Office.
• Advise leadership on policy and program management issues.
• Act as the subject matter expert in acquisition strategies and management of service contracts.
• Exercise managerial authority over the program team throughout all phases of the program.
• Direct the development of comprehensive program plans to meet technical, cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Provide technical and programmatic expertise for planning, execution, and management of program objectives.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-12/13) grade level.
• Experience as a program manager on a Major Defense Acquisition Program.
• Mastery of technical and business systems related to weapons systems acquisition in the Navy.
• Subject matter expertise in acquisition strategies and management of service contracts.
• Strong managerial, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DoD Planning, Programming and Budgeting System.
• Knowledge of life cycle acquisition management within DoD.
