About the position

The F-35 JPO Program Risk Manager (Senior Program Manager) at Serco is responsible for coordinating risk management activities for the F-35 Joint Program Office. This role involves providing analytical, technical, and administrative support to ensure effective risk management throughout the acquisition lifecycle of the F-35 program. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the ability to maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Directly support the JPO Risk Management function for overall coordination of activities supporting F-35 Program Risk management.
  • Provide recommended changes and updates to the JPO Joint Risk Management Plan, processes, and/or instructions for the F-35 Program.
  • Review and make recommendations concerning the Prime Contractor's Risk Management Plan (RMP) to ensure consistency with OSD's guidelines.
  • Review and Audit the F-35 Program management databases to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide recommended business processes to improve standardization of risk data.
  • Ensure adequate configuration control of the F-35 Risk databases.
  • Develop and track overall risks and management metrics as required.
  • Coordinate with F-35 JPO Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to prepare and review presentation material for various risk venues.
  • Attend various weekly meetings related to risk management as required.
  • Generate and distribute risk data to all PMOs/Functionals/Directorates for awareness and updates.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant discipline or a Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of additional work experience.
  • At least ten (10) years' experience in program management, technical, or business analysis discipline related to weapon systems acquisition.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of recent work experience related to analysis and planning.
  • At least three (3) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP).
  • Leadership experience in US Service-related military operations or defense acquisition program management.
  • Knowledge of DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5000.2 and related directives.

Nice-to-haves
