About The Position

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within the establishment, including managing the restaurant, bar, and banquet services. This role involves ensuring high standards of service, training staff, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations to achieve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handlers Safety Certificate.
  • Previous Food and Beverage supervisory experience in a similar environment.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and handle complaints effectively.
  • Prior experience in the culinary field or a similar combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of safety programs and regulations.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish skills are helpful.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of food and beverage front-of-the-house operations including breakfast, lunch, bar, and banquets.
  • Supervise, guide, and direct Restaurant/Bar/Banquet staff.
  • Ensure department goals are communicated, understood, and met.
  • Train Restaurant/Banquet employees on technical and service aspects of their jobs.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees to enhance performance.
  • Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline staff.
  • Monitor and inspect food and beverage deliveries and outlets for proper storage and sanitation.
  • Maximize bar profitability through portion control and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure the availability of the entire menu and adherence to hours of operation.
  • Supervise the setup of function rooms and conduct function reviews with customers.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on financial objectives and budget preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs and Health Department requirements.
  • Implement recognition programs for employee performance contributions.
