About the position

The Food & Beverage Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the operations of all Food & Beverage outlets within the establishment. This position requires a strong focus on maintaining profitability while ensuring high-quality products and service levels. The manager will coordinate, supervise, and direct all aspects of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. The role involves maintaining payroll budgets and developing a high-performing team that can deliver exceptional service to guests. In this position, the manager will oversee daily operations, manage personnel, and respond promptly to guest complaints. Collaboration with other Food & Beverage managers is essential to keep everyone informed of ongoing issues and to ensure that the immediate supervisor is updated on any matters requiring attention. The manager will also play a crucial role in loss prevention, preparing and submitting reports on payroll, revenue, schedules, and invoices in a timely manner. Monitoring the quality of service in the outlets and assisting in menu planning and preparation are also key responsibilities. Compliance with local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) is critical. The manager will be visible on the floor, assisting staff during meal periods, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring that employees are trained on SOPs and technical job tasks. The role also involves overseeing hiring practices and understanding corporate promotions within the outlet. Ultimately, the Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for ensuring overall guest satisfaction and performing other related duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of all outlets
  • Manage outlet personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of issues as they arise
  • Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss Prevention in the outlet
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure preparation of required reports, including payroll, revenue, schedules, and invoices
  • Monitor quality of service in Food & Beverage outlet
  • Assist in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure compliance with SOP's in all outlets
  • Ensure compliance with requisition procedures
  • Be visible on the floor and assist staff as needed during each meal period
  • Conduct staff performance reviews in accordance with OYO Hotel standards
  • Ensure the training of employees on SOP's and technical job tasks
  • Be involved in and/or conduct departmental and hotel training
  • Oversee hiring practices
  • Complete tip reporting
  • Understand, implement and monitor corporate promotions in outlet (if applicable)
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in beverage or an equivalent F&B supervisory position
  • At least 3 years in a Food and Beverage Management, high volume, multi outlet operation
  • Ability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree in F&B or Culinary Arts (Preferred)
  • Must have a valid SNHD Food Handlers Card
  • Must have a valid Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Must have a valid Non-Gaming Card

Nice-to-haves
