About the position

The F&I Manager at Krause Hyundai of Gainesville is a hybrid role that combines finance and sales responsibilities. This position is crucial for the successful operation of a new Sales/F&I Department at a start-up location. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive finance and will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction while managing finance and insurance processes efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Sell finance and insurance programs and other after-sale items to customers.
• Provide thorough explanations of aftermarket products and extended service plans to customers.
• Develop and monitor guidelines for customer interactions to maximize satisfaction.
• Convert cash deals to finance deals when appropriate.
• Establish and maintain relationships with multiple finance sources, including manufacturers.
• Process finance and lease deals accurately and in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Complete all necessary paperwork related to vehicle transactions in a timely manner.
• Check all paperwork for accuracy before forwarding to accounting.
• Acquire and maintain a current state insurance license and complete continuing education.
• Seek new lending institutions to secure competitive interest rates and finance programs.
• Manage the alternative finance source program to ensure availability of multiple sources.
• Train sales staff on financing, insurance, and extended service programs.
• Coordinate finance forecasting with the sales department to achieve goals.
• Ensure collection of all finance and insurance fees.
• Prepare reports on finance penetration and performance.
• Supervise and train designated backup staff for continuity in the F&I manager's absence.

Requirements

• At least two years of automotive finance experience.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A valid driver's license.
• An eager, outgoing personality with self-motivation and a desire for success.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
