About the position
The F&I Manager at Ken Garff Automotive Group is responsible for securing vehicle sales and protecting the front-end gross while ensuring a positive customer experience. This role involves adhering to company policies, maintaining relationships with lending sources, and managing the financial aspects of vehicle sales. The F&I Manager plays a crucial role in achieving sales objectives and fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and teamwork within the dealership.
Responsibilities
- Secure the sale of the vehicle and protect the front-end gross.
- Treat every customer in a friendly, professional manner, regardless of their financing or purchasing decision.
- Learn and adhere to the Ken Garff F&I Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain minimum acceptable standards for the sale of F&I products and financing.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with several lending sources.
- Submit all paperwork to and obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals.
- Finalize all paperwork necessary in the car deal in a timely manner and submit to the accounting office.
- Maintain a Daily Operating Control and review regularly with the General Manager.
- Acquire required insurance licenses and keep them current.
- Provide Sales Managers with an average interest rate on a monthly basis for customer payments.
- Set up and maintain a program to ensure a 100-percent turnover ratio to the F&I department.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings and instruct salespeople on F&I products and dealership financing.
- Participate in daily 'Save-A-Deal' meetings with other managers.
- Maintain an up-to-date manual including current lender rates and incentives.
- Assist in customer claims on F&I products and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Set up monthly forecasting in conjunction with the sales department and meet monthly objectives.
- Maintain insurance files including policies, rates, claim forms, and procedures.
- Collect and safeguard all money and fees required in transactions.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in a dealership F&I Department, selling financial services, or auto sales.
- High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented.
- Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
