About the position
The Finance Manager at Young Kia is responsible for managing the finance and insurance department, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to customers. This role involves converting cash deals to finance, processing finance and lease deals, and coordinating with the sales department to secure profits from vehicle sales. The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in the dealership's success by overseeing financial transactions and ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Responsibilities
- Converts cash deals to finance.
- Processes finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
- Processes federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the new and used vehicle and finance department.
- Completes necessary paperwork for vehicle sales and leases prior to sending to accounting.
- Checks paperwork for correct title, lien information, and taxes before forwarding to accounting.
- Ensures full coverage insurance is on all vehicles sold prior to customers leaving the dealership.
- Works with the sales manager to secure a reasonable profit from each sale.
- Coordinates finance forecasting with the sales department.
- Ensures collection of all finance and insurance fees.
- Takes all credit applications.
- Provides leadership and training where necessary.
Requirements
- Must acquire and maintain current state insurance licenses.
- Bachelor's Degree or 5 years equivalent experience.
- Previous Auto Industry Experience is Required.
- Ability to analyze and write reports and journals.
- Follow procedures/regulations.
- Must have a clean background and driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
