About the position
The F&I Manager at Elder Ford of Tampa is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers in selecting products that protect their vehicle purchases. This role involves working closely with lenders to secure financing approvals and ensuring all vehicle purchase paperwork is completed accurately and timely. The F&I Manager also follows up on receivables and engages with customers to enhance their purchasing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to vehicle purchasers.
- Assist customers in choosing protection packages for their vehicles.
- Work with lenders to obtain financing approval for customers.
- Complete all vehicle purchase paperwork accurately and on time.
- Follow up on and collect receivables related to vehicle purchases.
- Submit deals to banks electronically using the appropriate dealer system.
- Enter transactions accurately into ADP and bank approval systems.
- Process all transaction paperwork to meet office, DMV, and lender requirements.
- Track deal receivables and follow up on outstanding items for contract funding.
- Participate in store meetings including Sales Receivables and Store Manager meetings.
- Interact with sales team and managers to ensure accurate transaction completion.
- Follow up with customers regarding purchased products requiring action.
- Assist the Sales Team with customer engagement during peak traffic times.
- Obtain all necessary licensing within 90 days of hire.
Requirements
- 2+ years of dealership finance experience is required.
- Prior automotive sales management experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
