About the position

The Boys Basketball Assistant Coach will support the head coach in training and developing student-athletes, assisting in practice planning, game strategy, and fostering a positive team environment. This part-time position is essential for enhancing the athletic program and ensuring student-athletes achieve their potential both on and off the court.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices.
• Support the development of student-athletes' skills and performance.
• Help in strategizing for games and competitions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching basketball at the high school or collegiate level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategies.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a player in high school or college basketball.
• Certification in first aid and CPR.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations (if applicable).
