About the position

The Member Service Counselor I at Eglin Federal Credit Union is responsible for advising members on various share and loan services, assisting with account applications, and ensuring the completeness of loan applications. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail to effectively support members in their financial needs.

Responsibilities

• Advise members and potential members on share and loan services offered.
• Complete applications for New Accounts and Share Certificates.
• Assist members with the completion of Credit Applications for loan requests and loan change agreements.
• Obtain member balances and ensure loan applications and supporting documents are complete.
• Report any information that could affect the loan decision to the approving officer.
• Explain the benefits of individual or joint credit to members.
• Conduct closings on completed loans, ensuring members understand all terms and conditions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of Credit Union or other loan experience.
• Satisfactory credit history and bondable status.
• Ability to type, use an adding machine, and operate a PC with Windows.
