About the position

The F135 Systems Customer Support Engineer position at Pratt & Whitney involves supporting the sustainment of the F135 propulsion system for the F-35 aircraft. This role requires troubleshooting engine issues, coordinating software changes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective maintenance and operational readiness of the test cell systems. The engineer will work closely with military customers and the F-35 Joint Program Office, making this a high-visibility role within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot F135 depot test cell engine issues and provide maintenance actions to clear Health Report Codes (HRC)/fault codes.
• Coordinate F135 Depot Test Cell software changes and validation/verification for test cell data acquisition system, aircraft simulator system, and off-board prognostic health management software.
• Field test cell system issues.
• Coordinate with relevant Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) groups for required Engineering dispositions for engines at test cell.
• Process F135 depot test cell technical publications changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in engineering, military engines sustainment, or software development; or an advanced degree.
• An Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years of total experience with no degree will also be considered.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with engine systems operation.
• Good communication skills to work in a team environment.
• U.S. Military Aircraft/Engine Maintenance or equivalent civilian training.
• F135 Sustainment experience is desired.
• Project management experience.
