About the position

The position is part of the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) team at Pratt & Whitney, focusing on ensuring the longevity and performance of the F-35 engine. The role offers opportunities for growth and involves managing the ECU Component Interface Coordination Requirement (CICR) function throughout the design cycle, promoting a parametric approach, and supporting design integration activities. The position emphasizes collaboration with module teams and program leadership, and it includes responsibilities related to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Design (MB-Des) tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the ECU Component Interface Coordination Requirement (CICR) function and manage changes through the design cycle.
• Promote usage of parametric approach by working closely with module teams.
• Run Sub-system Integrated Product Teams (SSIPT) for key engineering initiatives.
• Support design integration activities.
• Aid in setting up Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Design (MB-Des) tools.
• Review CICR release plans and progress towards plans with program leadership regularly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 8+ years of Engineering experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• Basic Teamcenter and Unigraphics experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Active Security Clearance.
• IT Focal JCL 2 with experience in export jurisdiction and classification.
• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and create achievable plans.
• Knowledge of jet engine operation and experience in engineering with module center product knowledge.
• Basic Teamcenter, xClass, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working with military customers.
