About the position
The F5 Network Security Engineer is responsible for leading the design, planning, and implementation of F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Application Security Manager (ASM) solutions. This role requires expertise in F5 technology and a focus on client security, ensuring best practices are followed in the deployment and management of these systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of the F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Application Security Manager (ASM).
- Architect, engineer, and configure the F5 LTM and ASM.
- Develop iRules and apply rules within the F5 appliances.
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding the capabilities of F5 and related technologies.
- Document operational policies and procedures based on established client requirements and security controls.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the IT Network Security Engineer field.
- At least 3 years of experience with F5 LTM and ASM.
- Strong experience with troubleshooting services on F5 appliances.
- Knowledge of router protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) is a plus.
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal); presentation skills; interpersonal skills; analytical; and consulting type skills.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
