The Senior F5 Systems Engineer role at Booz Allen Hamilton involves leveraging technical expertise to support the Department of Defense by designing and developing systems that meet customer missions. The engineer will lead ongoing technical efforts, ensuring systems evolve with advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop systems for the Department of Defense.
  • Lead ongoing technical efforts to shape customer missions.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, upgrade, maintain, and monitor enterprise F5 load balancer network architecture.
  • Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and project managers to deliver solutions.
  • Utilize skills in virtualization technologies and cloud computing.

Requirements

  • Experience with networking and network security, including firewalls and F5 load balancers.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with cloud computing services and deployment models.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • HS diploma or GED with 12+ years of experience in a STEM field, or Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience.
  • IAT/8570 Level II Certification.
  • F5 Certified Technical Specialist Certification.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE, Red Hat Certified Systems Engineer, or AWS Solutions Architect Professional.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of government and industry security standards, including NIST and FedRAMP.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
