About the position
The Fabrication Programmer at Latitude Corp. is responsible for creating and maintaining CNC programming for various fabrication processes. This role is crucial in ensuring quality workmanship that meets or exceeds customer requirements, particularly in support of the US military and defense sectors. The position offers a full-time schedule in a clean, climate-controlled environment, emphasizing problem-solving, creativity, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Create CNC programming for fabrication processes.
- Sheet jobs and nest parts together for optimal yields.
- Produce quality workmanship that meets or exceeds requirements.
- Write and maintain programs for Tube Laser, Waterjet, Punch, Laser, and Masking Template Center using CAD software.
- Determine the best sequence for efficient punch and laser programs.
- Maintain programs and data files to ensure revision control.
- Nest parts on a single sheet to maximize yield.
- Assist in routing product or fixture development by understanding CNC/Manual machine capabilities.
- Generate and cut masking templates for the Coating Department.
- Identify and correct common mistakes on jobs and drawings.
