About the position
The Fabrication Technician at RTP Company is responsible for assisting in the fabrication, repair, and modification of plastic extrusion equipment. This role involves hands-on work in a production environment, requiring skills in welding and the operation of various machine shop equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform necessary welding in a production environment.
- Operate drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
- Rig and install equipment, including assembly and disassembly of equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair of plastic extruders, blenders, and related equipment.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Welding or equivalent experience (3-5 years).
- Prior fabricating experience and ability to read drawings.
- Valid driver's license.
