Specializing in both structural steel fabrications and miscellaneous metals, we are committed to delivering high-quality and innovative solutions to our diverse range of clients in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Steel Fabricator / Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and fitting steel components to ensure they meet precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, proficiency in cutting and shaping steel, and the ability to align and position components accurately. As a Structural Steel Fabricator / Fitter, you will read and interpret blueprints, detailed shop drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of structural pieces. You will calculate material measurements and inspect and verify the alignment and dimensions of structural components. Fabrication, positioning, alignment, and fitting of parts of structural metal products will be part of your daily tasks, utilizing a range of tools and equipment to meet project specifications, including layout, cutting, drilling, welding, and CNC operations. Collaboration with other team members is essential to ensure seamless project execution, and adherence to safety guidelines and protocols is critical to maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Read & interpret blueprints, detailed shop drawings, & specifications to determine the layout of structural pieces.
- Calculate material measurements; Inspect & verify the alignment & dimensions of structural components.
- Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of structural metal products utilizing a range of tools & equipment to meet project specifications (layout, cut, drill, weld, CNC, etc.)
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Structural Fabrication / Fitting, Welding, Manufacturing, or other related fields.
- Familiarity with welding tools procedures (CNC Plasma cutter knowledge a plus, but not required), as well as structural & misc. metal codes, standards, & specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and fitting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy materials if necessary and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be willing to learn from some of the best, and be committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.
