Fabricator Welder

About the position

The Fabricator Welder position at Hubbell Incorporated involves welding and grinding contract products, performing scheduled maintenance, and ensuring equipment cleanliness. The role requires setting up and adjusting machines to produce quality products, conducting quality tests, and making routine equipment adjustments to maintain efficiency and standards.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and adjust machines and equipment to produce acceptable quality products.
• Perform required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as mandated by Quality Assurance or supervisor.
• Visually inspect products, record production, report scrap, and perform various duties or rework as assigned.
• Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure efficient processes and compliance with welding standards.
• Manually repair or hand weld products that do not meet standards.
• Operate overhead crane, forklift, hand-held grinder, and other department equipment.

Requirements

• Mig welding experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass a welding test.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets.
• Proficiency in using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
