The Facility Engineer/General Technician 1 at Kroger is responsible for assisting with general maintenance, repairs, and support for assigned service calls within the grocery store environment. Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance and repairs to assigned service calls.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures on buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as directed.
• Assist in performing component replacements.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts safely.
• Communicate with store personnel regarding equipment usage and maintenance.
• Utilize the company email system for communication and documentation.
• Complete all repair, labor, and parts documentation in a timely manner.
• Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• EPA Type 1 Certification.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals, and schematics.
