About the position

The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller (MFE) plays a crucial role in assisting individuals without health insurance in enrolling in various government programs and health plans. This position involves conducting interviews, screening potential recipients, and guiding them through the enrollment process, ensuring they connect with the necessary healthcare services. The MFE is also responsible for maintaining relationships with community agencies and ensuring compliance with enrollment guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective members without health insurance and assist with the enrollment process.
• Conduct interviews and screen potentially eligible recipients for enrollment into Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Qualified Health Plans.
• Meet with consumers at various community sites to provide enrollment assistance.
• Educate individuals on the application process and necessary documentation for health plans.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate health plans and primary care physicians.
• Submit completed applications by the required deadlines and ensure accuracy in processing paperwork.
• Assist current members with recertification of their healthcare coverage.
• Participate in community outreach projects and events to promote enrollment services.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and agencies for enrollment activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum one year of experience with State and Federal Health Insurance programs.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions.
• Knowledge of Managed Care insurance plans.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
