About the position

The Facilities and Property Management Specialist at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) plays a crucial role in safeguarding the financial system from financial crimes. This position involves serving as a principal advisor to the Director of Management Services, overseeing project management related to facilities, and ensuring effective management of personal property assets. The specialist will be responsible for developing specifications, evaluating contractor performance, and overseeing renovation or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a principal advisor/subject matter expert to the Director, Management Services for project management of facilities.
• Manage and execute policies and programs for FinCEN's personal property assets, including vehicles and IT equipment.
• Develop and communicate specifications for planning and budget documentation.
• Evaluate project and contractor performance against contractual requirements.
• Oversee renovation or construction projects of buildings.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the Federal service, including advisory and technical services for facilities management.
• Experience in developing and enforcing policies for property and space management.
• Experience monitoring contractor performance and establishing project milestones.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in asset management activities and customer service support for facilities.
• Knowledge of federal government procurement laws and guidelines.
